Hi there, I’m Anna.
I never thought I was cut-out for running, and then I started! This is a place where I document my running journey… goals, races, thoughts. I don’t know if anybody else will ever read this blog, but here’s my promise in case that happens: I am keeping it real. That means sometimes the writing will ramble on, some entries may be boring, and pictures will rarely be any good.
A little about me: In 2011, I started running as a way of taking care of my mental health after giving birth to my first child. In 2012 I ran 10 races, two of which were half marathons. In 2013… I surprised myself and became a marathoner! Shortly after that, I began my second marathon by becoming a doctoral student. After giving birth to my second child, I defended my dissertation and concluded two feats of endurance within a few weeks.
I am excited to see what the future brings.
I am married to an incredibly supportive partner, the lucky mama of an amazing daughter, and I work as an administrator at a university. Oh, and I am a runner now!
