Productive weekend! We did several projects around the house, including putting a new coat of paint on the dining room and installing knobs on the kitchen cabinets. I mowed the lawn for the first time since early fall (it was sunny for long enough that I could do this) and I planted early spring arrangements in the hanging baskets. Our house was built in 1895 and we bought it last June. It was not what I would call a fixer-upper, but definitely needed some TLC. I love weekends when we can pour some love into those old wooden bones.
I ran 7 miles Friday night and 5 miles yesterday. I would like to run at least 2-3 times this week before the race on Saturday. Still haven’t decided between the 4 mile or the 13 mile distance!
My intention this week (besides continuing with hydration and whole produce) is to cut back on screen time–specifically in two ways. I would like to limit Facebook to a check-in once a day, rather than an ongoing presence. I feel like Facebook is such a drain on my time, and so meaningless when all is said and done. I would also like to stop checking my work email after 6:00 PM on the evenings. I realized last night when I was responding to a work email at 10:00 PM that I need to establish better boundaries.
So–less Facebook, keep work reigned in as close to 8-5 as I can, close the laptop or put the phone away, spend a little more time playing with my daughter and spend my evening hours reading more of a book and less of a news feed 🙂
