Hump day…

…hope it’s a quick one! No lengthy updates or thoughts for today. Enjoyed a good Zumba class last night; I will run 4 miles tonight. My right knee was a bit tender last night so I iced it after class and indulged my West Wing addiction. Today it feels much better. My intention for tonight’s run is to listen to my body and what it needs. So far, I have kept up with the 30 Day Challenge. I especially enjoy reading posts by other participants on the Facebook page and finding out what everybody is doing. I feel fortunate to live in a town with so many active and healthy people–very inspiring. Have a wonderful Wednesday–Happy Running!

  1. Second breakfast is my favorite meal of the day! I had a big green smoothie for my second breakfast (frozen banana, frozen blueberries, scoop of Vega One protein powder, a cucumber and as much spinach as I can shove into the Vitamix). Yummm! I happened to calculate the calories in my smoothie and it is a tad over 400. Quite a lot for a second breakfast – ha!! It tends to push my lunch a little later which keeps me from snacking too much before dinner, though, so I figure it all works out in the end. 🙂

    • That smoothie sounds awesome, and I am eternally envious of your Vitamix. Our work/daycare schedules usually leave me to run before dinner, so I completely understand the value of a late morning snack and a later lunch.

  2. So glad I’m not the only one who needs two breakfasts! Sorry your knee was sore… that’s such a challenge. Hope tonight’s run treats you well, though, and that you aren’t in any pain. I LOVED West Wing when it was on! What a great show 🙂

    • We are re-watching the series (Netflix started streaming it), and I am falling in love all over again. Knee is much better, I am happy to report. Hope it stays that way!
